Hélène van Oudheusden

It is May 5, 2015. I am enjoying a cappuccino in the picturesque harbor of Molyvos on the island of Lesvos (Greece) when I hear children's voices. I think everything is okay until Greeks start running with emergency blankets. Before I realize, I am making bread, handing out clothes and am co-creating humanitarian aid for refugees arriving in Europe via Lesvos. In retrospect, I see how this impressive experience gave us, as volunteers, the opportunity to boost our personal growth. Everyone is doing what they can, with the talents that are there at the moment. I feel honored to have been allowed to serve refugees in their trials and tribulations while they were trying to start a new life.

It is my passion to guide you in your inner growth too. A path that can have so many unexpected twists. An adventure that brings changes that you think you do not want. But your inner whisper knows better...

From my studies, work and life experience I know that a more beautiful life really appears when you dare to accept the invitations to change. From clarity, sensitivity and warm involvement I am happy to support you in your life journey.

The basis of leadership and development programs lies in a versatile interest in personal growth, psychology, indigenous cultures and trauma healing. In tailor-made programs for organizations and private clients we work together with traditions from the East and West. I tailor the working methods to your request. They are rooted in (chakra) psychology, archetype mentoring, systemic work, dream interpretation and spirituality. I work internationally and also provide sessions in English, German, French and Greek.

Short bio After a Bachelor in Commercial Economics/Communication I worked in various branches (healthcare, marketing & media). My interest in personal development led me to in-depth training in psychology and spiritual growth. I graduated as a Psycho-Spiritual therapist and am trained as a (trauma) pedagogue, change manager and public speaker. Since 2001 I have been providing mentoring and training from my private practice in The Hague, the Netherlands, and on Lesvos, Greece.

For my personal and professional development I have followed further training and supervision with, among others, Daan van Kampenhout - Systemic Ritual, Phoenix Opleidingen - Creating Space for Your Next Step & Raising Children, both sides of the umbilical cord, Inner Nomads - Speaking to Inspire, CYFARWYDD - A Storytelling Odyssey for Women, S. Bögels/G. Langenberg - Parenting Ourselves Retreat, OpenLearn - Icarus: entering the world of myth and ART International - Authentic Relating Training.

For whom I like to work together with conscious women and men who wish to initiate a change in their lives. We explore and deepen how you can grow from doubt into self-confidence. How you can learn to step forward. You will learn to speak out to your manager or board, dare to share your ideas in meetings and start passionate change to co-create a compassionate organization. We work together with tools from Buddhism, systemic work, mythology and shamanism.

My passion for educating migrant children

When I saw the many dinghies with migrant children arriving on Greek shores I could not believe my eyes. There is a strange physical and emotional reaction when you witness boat landings. The adrenaline rush is sky high because you never know whether all people on board are safe.

You don’t know whether to laugh or cry. The cries of children and their parents will stay in my heart forever. Cries of joy and of sorrow. For having left their homes and loved ones behind, for their relief about a (mostly) safe landing, trusting that a new life could begin by entering Europe.

To every child I met that tries his best to adapt to a new life in a strange country I dedicate my wholehearted support. Thank you for allowing me into your world…
